ABOUT

Caroline Calandro

is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and psychological sciences. Currently she works as the Multimedia Designer at Miss Porter’s School and aspires to one day work as a video producer or filmmaker to inspire informed active citizenship.

Her experiences with Horizons, Jumpstart Americorps, UConn Alternative Breaks, and the International Rescue Committee inspired her to pursue a career that would allow her to share stories of impact with a purpose.

Caroline’s outlook on life and her goals to connect people through relaying a wide range of the human experience are largely derived from her involvement with these organizations. She embraces attention to detail and creativity in every objective and is excited by throwing herself into new experiences and meeting people with different perspectives.

In her free time she reads and has a deep affinity for dance, classical/jazz music and musical theatre. Lately she has been brushing up on her Spanish language proficiency and has begun learning Italian and practicing her photography and video production skills. She also loves cooking and delving into the history and culture behind recipes.
